After Frances defeat at the hands of Britain in 1776 England gained Frances empire in North America. In the beginning the British colonists of North America were very loyal to England, but during a 10 to 15 year period where colonists were under British approach pattern they began to evolve differently socially then their British rulers. The American colonists soon became dissatisfied, and demanded independence from Britain. During Americas involution for its independence they gained help from King Louis XVI of France which as a result weakened the Frances military, and finances which brought virtually the French revolution and the downfall of King Louis XVI. Both these revolutions were a result of the peoples dissatisfaction with their government. Under British rule the colonists of North America were able to assemble their own traffic pattern of government. The colonist used their new formed government officials as a delegacy to voice their grievances, and to have them addressed by the British empire. A main source of the colonists grievances stemmed from the impenetrable taxation placed on the colony.
