Our bodies argon essentially made up of water, roughly 60% of our clay weight is water and as we grow older our body water begins to decrease. urine is entrap through forbidden our body. Muscles are about 75% water darn our b onenesss are 25% water. water supply is found in and around our cells known as; intracellular fluid and extracellular fluid. Extracellular fluid is found on the outside of our cells and accounts for one third of our bodys water and is found principally in the water that is in our blood line and the fluid mingled with cells. This is called interstitial fluid.
Water will chance on in and out of our bodys cells. Water that is found in our blood stream, cells and spaces between our cells is not trapped and can move freely as needed. Water is held in these places by proteins, sodium and potassium. Water will move impale and forth between our contrasting body parts to help in equalizing of dissolved particles. As particles in one compartment gets higher, water will then move to that compartment attempting to equalize the particles, this is known as osmosis.
Water provides many functions for our body.
It acts as a cleaning agent to help clean the cells of our body and lubricate the internal and external parts of our body as well. Water is found in our saliva and helps to lubricate our mouths. tongue aids in helping to make chewing and swallowing our foods easier. Water is found in tears and helps to wash our dirt and some other particles from our eyes. As we all know water resists compression, this helps in modify our joints and eyeballs from shock. Water also acts as a cushion wrong a womens fetus, while they are pregnant, to help comfort the amniotic sac. Water is found in our blood return to help deliver oxygen and nutrients to cells and return waste products back to our lungs and kidneys for excretion.
