Based on my background, I am fully act to promoting diversity and providing additional support to individuals that face socioeconomic challenges, mean minority groups, or come from a multi-ethnic background. I immigrated to the US when I was 7, learned English as a second language, and grew up in a multi-racial area of Chicago, IL. I can appreciate the hardships that affect people from these areas but also recognize the inherent potential in these individuals if they are disposed(p) the right opportunities, supported by knowledgeable advisors, and have diligent educators/mentors that are looking out for their best interests.

In my captain career, I have had the opportunity to assist the development of a broad range of individuals. While taping at Novellus Systems, I trained and supported a variety of process technicians that came from socioeconomically challenged backgrounds, represented a diverse set of minority groups, and a good deal learned English as a second language. sensation of those process technicians was Vince Tagle, an immigrant from the Philippines, with limited communication attainments in English, a arrest under ones skin of four children, and the sole income earner for his family, .

I provided extra focussing so Vince would grasp the concepts and the strict requirements to assist me in work related projects.



Each week, I walked Vince through each audition I designed and solicited feedback from him to ensure his understanding of the project and to fortify concepts critical to the experimental design. I understood the unique challenges in working with Vince and looked to buttress his strengths while supporting additional skill development in areas where he was weak. Over the years, I was dashing to see his professional development grow and provide him with a pathway to achieve a greater level of self-reliant work. Most importantly, it was good to see Vince take the concepts and approaches and pass them on to other emerging technicians.
