Research the active noise decrease (ANR) technology utilize in noise-cancelling headph unitys. How does it work? What physics principles be involved? What are some other applications that use ANR technology? Choose one application, and explain how it works. (List your resources) (Due Monday 19 March)
Active Noise reduction is a technology that reduces the unwonted noise outside the headphones to provide the user a high quality audio service. It is also cognize as the noise cancellation and active noise control. The ANR technology creates an anti-noise distinguish that results in destructive kerfuffle and cancels out the original noise.
By creating a wave of the same amplitude and frequency as the external noise, two waves backsheeshs and troughs are arranged such that the crest of one wave lines up with the trough of the other wave, thereby cancels out one another.
One of the applications of the active noise reduction technology is the muffler in internal combustion engines.
It is a device designed to reduce the loud functions created by the engine. on that point are tubes in the muffler designed to reflect sound waves produced by the engine. The sound waves enter the tube and the chambers. The fiberglass withdrawal and the resonating chambers that are tuned to cause destructive interference absorb the noise. Therefore, the original noise is cancelled out.
