Course Description: This course presents a systems approach to decision-making involving the transformational activities of organizational systems. Topics cover include Operations Strategies in a Global Economy, contract Forecasting, Project Management, Facility Capacity, Facility Location and Strategic apportioning of Resources. These topics will include examples from worlds class manufacturing and advantage operations. Global and Ethical issues will be addressed as they relate to these topics. Course Objectives: 1.

To develop a basic mind of the nature of operations management and the ability to recognize and project management problems. 2. To develop an understanding of the models and techniques handlingd to assist operations managers in problem solving and decision-making. Course Requirements: Students will be responsible for all materials presented in class which will be drawn from reading assignments in text and related references.
